Better Bud is an online clinic that connects eligible patients with Australian-registered healthcare professionals who prescribe plant-based medicine. If approved, your prescription is filled by a licensed pharmacy and delivered discreetly to your door. We handle the process end-to-end – no waiting rooms, no hassle.
Eligibility is determined by a practitioner during your consult. Generally, patients must have a chronic condition (lasting 3+ months) that hasn’t responded well to conventional treatments. Common examples include anxiety, insomnia, pain, or PTSD.
Your initial consultation is free with our nurse practioner. If you’re approved and choose to move forward, we charge a one-time medical consult fee of $69, subsequent reviews for repeat prescriptions are $49. You only pay if you're approved.
Yes – medicinal cannabis is legal with a valid prescription. All Better Bud prescriptions are issued by Australian-registered practitioners and filled by licensed pharmacies. We operate under strict compliance with TGA and Australian law.
Once your prescription is approved and paid, your order is dispatched by express post from our partner pharmacy. Most patients receive their medication within 1–3 business days (location dependent).

Yes, depending on the product. THC-based products can result in a positive test. If you’re subject to workplace drug testing, you must disclose your prescription to your employer. We recommend consulting your HR policy for clarity.
If your medication contains THC, it is illegal to drive in Australia while using it, even with a prescription. CBD-only products are an exception. Our clinical team will advise you on what’s safe and legal based on your script.
Currently, plant-based medicine is not covered by Medicare. Some private health funds may offer rebates depending on your level of extras cover. We recommend checking directly with your provider.
